Agreed stepney although a significant injury will turn that completely on its head.

Fair play to Villa, Ings and Watkins are quality strikers. Makes us look two bob unfortunately

Re: Danny Ings - Yes or No
They may have paid over the odds in terms of age and contract, but in three seasons at Soton he has close to a 1 in 2 record.

Villa will have no real sell on value, but in terms of buying someone for right now it's not a bad bit of business. At 29 he is bang in his peak. If you get three good seasons out of him you'd have to say the fee is worth it.

Re: Danny Ings - Yes or No
I like Ings but 25 million for a 29 year old who had 1 year left on his contract seems a bit too much imo.

Zouma’s turned us down.

LOL. Is this like a trick question??

We are more likely to bring in Danny Baker.

No

Re: Danny Ings - Yes or No
He's 29 so doesn't have much left in his career as a striker. Injuries aren't going to be any less common either. We'd be paying for the player he was and not what he's going to be.

Nope

100% no brainer yes

Re: Danny Ings - Yes or No
I'd rather have someone with two functioning legs for the money they'd want for him. Great player though but at this stage of the window we are betting into a beggars/choosers scenario.

Re: Danny Ings - Yes or No
Yes he'd be a great signing.

No it won't happen in a million years. He'll go to another team between 6th and 10th.

Re: Danny Ings - Yes or No
At 15m it's a definite yes from me, but Saints will want a lot more, so it's going to be one of those who blinks first situations. Not sure how he fits in - he lacks pace, which doesn't suit our rapid breaking style. He reminds me a bit of Sheringham - slow but very intelligent and an excellent finisher. No way is he a direct replacement for an injured Antonio, but whether Moyes could get them working well together is an interesting question.

Massive Yes. Exactly what we need

Re: Danny Ings - Yes or No
A yes from me but I bet Spurs have got him lined up for when Kane leaves. He would slot right in as a replacement, we should make a move now

Re: Danny Ings - Yes or No
I think we're more likely to get an out of form striker or have a midfielder converted to striker.

Re: Danny Ings - Yes or No
In a shot.

He wants better than us and Southampton will want a proper fee.

Will never happen.
